Agent Gate Displays Error GID Not Error Text (Doc ID 1305912.1)

Last updated on SEPTEMBER 08, 2016

Applies to:

Oracle Transportation Management - Version: 6.1.3 and later   [Release: 6.1 and later ]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Agent Gates are configured to override Functor Class and do validation using a Saved Condition. A translation definition of type ERROR is attached to the Agent Gates to display user friendly error messages whenever the Saved Condition fails.

The OTM behavior is changed as per the Saved Condition attached to the Agent Gate. However on failure of the saved condition, OTM is ignoring the Translation attached to the Agent Gate definition and displays the Saved Condition GID.

As per OTM help, if the translation is provided, on failure the translation text will be displayed as the error message. If a translation not provided, the agent gate will simply list the Saved Condition gid in the error message.

For the Agent Gates, on executing the failure condition (Saved Condition failing for the selected Shipment), OTM displays the Saved Condition GID instead of the Translation Text.
