S_Equipment Deleted from Downline Shipment When Merging Shipments After Creating Relay Shipments
(Doc ID 1310548.1)
Last updated on JULY 20, 2024
Applies to:
Oracle Transportation Management - Version 5.5.05 and laterInformation in this document applies to any platform.
Symptoms
Two individual shipments (shipment A and shipment B) are created and then they are relayed (Create Relay Shipment - action).
This yields the following shipments:
Shipment A1 - First leg of original Shipment A (using S_Equipment: E-A)
Shipment A2 - Second leg of original Shipment A (re-using S_Equipment: E-A)
Shipment B1 - First leg of original Shipment B (using S_Equipment: E-B)
Shipment B2 - Second leg of original Shipment B (re-using S_Equipment: E-B)
The shipments from the first legs are then merged using shipment Action: Merge Shipments. This creates a single shipment for the first leg and consolidates the S_Equipment into one (E-AB).
Currently, the merge action is merging the first two shipments. However, the downline are remaining separate and because of this one of them is even having its S_equipment deleted (i.e. the shipment no longer has any S_Equipment)
