Enforce Ship Set And Model Parameter Does Not Work When Picking with AutoAllocate = No (Doc ID 1310817.1)

Last updated on JULY 19, 2016

Applies to:

Oracle Shipping Execution - Version 11.5.10.2 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

Enter a sales order to kit items whose checkbox in the item ship model complete is checked. the 2 lines are exploded.
1 item has enougth on hand while the other has insufficient on-hand.
autocreate delviery and from shipping transactions launch pick release. the concurrent program completes in warning and the 2 lines are backordered. ( AutoAllocate shipping parameter = Yes)

Repeat the same scenario, but this time launch pick release from the pick release rule form,
the 2 lines are Released to Warehouse . the setup enforce ship set and model is not respected.(( AutoAllocate shipping parameter = No)

EXPECT THAT...
-------------------------
the setup enforce ship set and model is respected.

BUSINESS IMPACT
------------------------------
We need to run pick release from the pick release form and not from the shipping transactions form. we must verify that the whole kit is released to warehouse when enougth stock is available for all lines under the kit.

ADDITIONAL DETAILS
---------------------------------
The solution proposed: running Pick Release from Release Sales Orders for Picking window, use auto allocate and auto pick confirm cannot be implemented due to the following reason:
We do not want to run pick release with auto pick confirm, this is why we wish to use the release sales order form rather than the pick from shipping transactions form. this is because we wish the status to be released to warehouse rather than staged/pick confirmed. the pick confirm is done via incoming interface that we get from external warehouse
