Goal

Due to business reasons, you need to change the Item Attribute Control for Group Name "Order Management", Attribute Name "Assemble to Order" from being controlled at Master Level to control at Org level. This does not cause problems for new item creation.

However, when going back through existing ATO Items to inactivate the Assemble to Order flag on the Item "Order Management" attribute tab, you see items that need the ATO flag inactivated.
But the system will not allow the change throwing out an Error message that states "There are open Sales Order lines. Please process these before changing the attribute."

How can you achieve this?

Question 1:  Will you need to process all open orders before changing the Assemble to Order Attribute?
Question 2:  Are there any scripts that can help you identify open orders for specific items?
