Using the IAPIPE Program to Debug PL/SQL and Triggers in Oracle Assets (FA)
(Doc ID 131313.1)
Last updated on AUGUST 27, 2019
Applies to:
Oracle Assets - Version 11.5.8 and laterInformation in this document applies to any platform.
Purpose
This article demonstrates how the IAPIPE program can be used to debug PL/SQL programs and triggers within the Oracle Assets (FA) application, especially those which already have IAPIPE calls (such as the MRC and CIP_IN_TAX code).
Scope
This package is for Support Analysts who would like to be able to debug generic
PL/SQL errors (such as ORACLE error 20001). This will allow them to use a
built-in debugging feature in some of the FA PL/SQL code (namely the MRC and
CIP-IN-TAX logic).
*** This can only be used on machines running Solaris ***
*** We have also had trouble running in 11i/8.1 environments
internally so this may only be useful on 11.0
See the references at the bottom ***
