APP-BOM-30006 BOM Cannot Contain Items Tracked in Dual UOM

Symptoms
When attempting to work with a BOM which contains a component with Dual UOM defined, the following error occurs.
Error
APP-BOM-30006 The Bill cannot contain items tracked in two quantities.
Please disable the existing bill/component if assembly/component is dual uom controlled.
Steps
1. Navigate to bills > Bills
2. Enter the dual UOM bill assembly item
3. The error occurs.

1. Navigate to bills > Bills
2. Enter the bill assembly item (single unit of measure / UOM item).
3. Enter the dual UOM component.
4. Receive the error.
What is working
You can create an item making it dual unit of measure (UOM) and set the bills allowed checkbox to Yes. This would indicate that the item allows a dual unit of measure bill but creating the bill fails.
You can create bills or add components if the bill type is Product Family.
