In mtl_onhand_quantities_details table, STATUS_ID = -1 CAUSE MATERIAL NOT ALLOCATED & SO BACKORDERED (Doc ID 1314810.1)

Last updated on JUNE 21, 2023

Applies to:

Oracle Inventory Management - Version 12.1.1 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

On : 12.1.1 version, Onhand and Availability
You have a problem with the items which you are manufacturing.
When the discrete job is completed, the stock is added to Material on hand quantity.
It is having status_id = -1 where as it is required to be 1 only.
So when you sales order > book sales order > shipping transaction > launch pick release > and then transact move order,
here the material is not getting allocated because of status_id = -1 in moqd.status_id and sales order gets back order.

Expect that in mtl_onhand_quantities_details table, the field "status_id "is not populated with -1
so that everything will works fine.

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. Order management > sales order > book sales order > shipping transaction > launch pick release> transact move order > order gets back order
