Auto Renewals not Working when Using the 'Renew Up To' Field In Service Contracts (Doc ID 1316782.1)

When using the 'Renew Up To' field in the Renewals tab, if the renewal time period is not the same as the original time period of the contracts (e.g. the original contract period is 2 years and the new 'Renew Up To' field gives one year of renewal) then the following happens:

1. The renewed contract stays in Entered status (because QA Check has failed)
2. Billing schedule is not created.
3. The Renew up to date is carried to the renewed contract

However, if the 'Renew Up To' field is renewing the contract for the same period as before then there is no problem, the contract gets created and goes in Signed status.  Why is that?
