Last updated on MARCH 15, 2021

Applies to:

Oracle Asset Tracking - Version 11.5.10.2 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

Assets are created with wrong Date Placed in Service, which is NOT equal to the transaction date of miscellaneous transaction of EIB issue to HZ_location. Example: the transaction date is 04/06/2011, but the date placed in service shown in Fixed Assets form is 04/01/2011 .

Expect Asset Date Placed in Service to be shown as date of miscellaneous transaction of EIB issue to HZ_location

STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Define the normal item: Inventory responsibility > Master Items form
--- Normal items (without Oracle Projects module) in Service Tab in item master setup (inventory module)
--- IB trackable flag is set (Yes)
--- Create asset flag is no set (No)
--- Inv costing is enabled (In costing Tab of item master - INV module) with Cost Manager active running every 5 min.
--- Inv asset value flag is set (in costing tab of item master - INV module)
--- In item master (Inv module) , purchasing tab asset category is mapped
2. System Administrator responsibility > Profile Options form > Set profile option CSE profile option for correct FA book type code is mapped.
3. Inventory responsibility > Miscellaneous Transactions form: Item is being issued to HZ_location first by Miscellaneous transaction in Inventory, "EIB issue toHZ_location"
4. Asset Tracking responsibility > Run Requests: Create assets program is run and creates assets in mass additions (FA)
