After Data Migration, When Updating Master Org Item Attribute Get Errors FRM-40654 and FRM-40735 (Doc ID 1317840.1)

Symptoms

After migrating data from DB AS/400, DB2/400, following error occurs when attempting to update master/org item attribute.

ERROR

FRM-40654: Record has been updated. Requery block to see change
FRM-40735: ON-LOCK trigger raised unhandled exception ORA-20001.

STEPS

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Log into EBS and select Inventory responsibility.
2. Go to Inventory> Items > Master Items and query the problematic item.
3. Update user item type and click save
4. Error message displayed.

Query the record from mtl_system_items_b and found trailing spaces exist in Attribute column and ran the RTRIM update, but space still exist.
