Symptoms

On : 11.5.10.2 version, Email Center Set-Up and Configuration

When attempting to create a new database link the following error is shown:

ORA-02024: database link not found

Steps

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

(R) Email Center Self Service Setup
(N) Custom Configuration/Database Link

List of Links are shown.

Click (B) Create

Enter details for a new database link:

Database Link: Link to Applications for APPS User Link

Database Name: *****
Password: ********

Application Database:

Host Name: ******
Port: ****
SID: *******


Error shown:
ORA-02024: database link not found

Business Impact

The issue has the following business impact:
Due to this issue, users cannot configure Email Center.
