Last updated on APRIL 04, 2025

Applies to:

Oracle Inventory Management - Version 11.5.10 to 11.5.10.2 [Release 11.5 to 11.5.10]
Linux x86
Executable:RVCTP - Receiving Transaction Processor

Symptoms

Receiving Transaction Processor intermittently fails with Signal 11, leaving rcv_transactions_interface records in RUNNING status.  This issue occurs only for Linux platforms.

Although this error may occur for Core Receiving form transactions (Receipts, Receiving Transactions, Corrections, Returns) or WMS/Mobile application when RCV: Processing Mode=Immediate or Batch, it more often occurs when using Receiving Open Interface (ROI) functionality.

This issue does not occur when using RCV: Processing Mode=On-line.

When using Core Receiving forms, this issue may not occur if only one transaction line is saved.

When the ROI transactions are repeated they process successfully, though sometimes multiple attempts are required.

Check if there are records with RUNNING status:

Changes

Issue may occur after switching to Linux platform from another platform (although not limited to Linux OS exclusively)
OR
applying INV/RCV Rollup Patch (RUP)

Known commonality for Customers who have reported this issue but it also may occur for clients on lower file versions if other patching applied:

1.  Linux platform
 AND
2.  On INV/RCV RUP13 (or higher)

To determine INV/RCV RUP, Run the sql query from <Note 726226.1>
