Purpose

The purpose of this document is to provide an introduction to the "Install Base Transaction History Purge" program that was introduced in Install Base release 11.5.10.

Scope

The intended audience is anyone that is responsible for maintaining the data created and updated by the Oracle Install Base application.  

Be extremely careful when using this program. Once transactions are purged, no automatic restore feature is available!
