Prospective Supplier Cannot Register Without Providing Tax Registration Number, Taxpayer Id, Or Duns Number. (Doc ID 1325598.1)

Last updated on AUGUST 15, 2023

Applies to:

Oracle iSupplier Portal - Version 11.5.9 to 12.1.3 [Release 11.5 to 12.1]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

On 12.1.1,  Prospective Supplier can not register without providing Tax Registration Number, Taxpayer ID, or a DUNS Number and encounter Warning message:

You are required to provide at least one of the following ID's: Taxpayer ID, Tax Registration Number or Data Universal Numbering System (DUNS) Number.

During prospective supplier registration, is it possible to not require values entered in the fields Taxpayer ID, Tax Registration Number, and DUNS Number?

Taxpayer ID was hidden using personalization; however, not all suppliers have a Tax Registration Number or DUNS Number to provide instead.

Workaround: customer including training on their company website to show suppliers how to locate or get a DUNS number if they don't have one.

While customer is utilizing the training workaround, this is less efficient for suppliers and may even prevent some from registering. Also, if the supplier is unable to provide the fields, then customer would have to register the supplier using a completely manual process.
