Depot Repair Bulk Receiving Error: 'Creation of Repair Order failed' (Doc ID 1326153.1)

Symptoms

When attempting to perform a bulk receipt the following error occurs.

Error : Creation of Repair Order failed
Serial Number :XYZ, Inventory Item Id :ABC, Qty :N
You must enter a value for column Resolution Time - Severity .

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1.   (R) Depot Repair Manager
  2.   (N) Depot Repair>Bulk Receive Items
  3.   Find the customer and enter Serial and Item information.  Then press >Process
  4.   Enter Serial Number and Item
  5.   Bulk Receive Warnings:
    The following lines generated warnings. you can process the items as is or correct the data before continuing.
      Process
  6.   Confirmation: 
    All items and/or serial numbers have been processed. (Concurrent request number = nnnnnnn, transaction number = nn). You may now enter another set of items for bulk receiving.
  7.   Viewing log for Concurrent Request shows the error referenced above.
