Cost Manager with Performance Issue, Taking a Long Time To Launch Workers (Doc ID 1327048.1)

Symptoms

The cost manager is taking a lot of time to launch cost workers.

Have about 11million uncosted records, we launched cost manager on 03/31, however only one cost worker is getting launched every hour. Cost worker is getting completed in 4 minutes, however next cost worker is launched only after an hour or so?

Manager is set to run every 5minutes, It started processing 11million records, so it will be keep running until they are done and workers are not being launched.

Changing from 5minutes to 1minute won't make any difference because manager keep running and launching workers however workers are not being launched fast enough to process records. Actual cost worker takes about 1.5 to 2 minutes but only one worker is getting launched at a time per trace file

There are no transactions with costed_flag = 'E' . Based on their cst check results they have millions of inter org transfer records and hundreds of organizations all avg costing

Have applied Patch.8987241:R12.BOM.C FP:12.0-12.1 ACTUAL COST WORKER PROGAM TAKING LOT OF TIME TO COMPLETE but this was no help ? Still not getting multiple actual cost workers launched ?



STEPS

1. Connect to Cost Management - SLA Responsibility.

2. run the cost manager and the performance issue is generated.
