Oracle General Ledger - Version 12.0.4 and laterInformation in this document applies to any platform.
Executable:GLPPOS - Posting
Symptoms
On : 12.0.4 version, Posting
Primary Ledger posting in the final adjustment period causes a secondary ledger journal to be created to the last non adjusting period even though the two ledgers have the same calendar.
The Primary Ledger posting in the final adjustment period should cause a secondary ledger journal to be created to the same adjusting period if they share a calendar
STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. post a journal into the adjusting period in the primary ledger
2. Check the period used in the mirror journal in the secondary ledger.
Due to this issue, users have to change the period of all the secondary ledger journals that should have gone to the adjusting period in the primary ledger. If the journals are posted they have to reverse and reverse again into the correct period. Without this, the reconciliation between primary and secondary ledger is very hard.
