Can you apply the HRGLOBAL post install step while other non-HRMS applications are online?

By default, the seeded HRMS functions are offline (unavailable) while hrglobal post install step is running.  The Profile PAY_KEEP_ENBL_HRACES: Allow Functions Access during Hrglobal Run set to Y will override this default to enable HRMS functions.

If this is set to N or not set, then a list of functions starting with the following are set to offline:
  • PER
  • PAY
  • HR,
  • BEN
  • SSP
  • FF
  • PQP
  • PQH

Also, some payroll seeded functions, not having HRMS prefix, are set offline. For example,

When offline forms do not show on the Navigator and from the Home Page, the self-service pages do not open.

At the end of hrglobal, the functions are set to None, meaning functions will then be available.

During hrglobal driver run, all HRMS concurrent programs are blocked.  The HRMS concurrent programs are delivered with an incompatibility rule to program PAYLEGDEL.  Hrglobal submits this concurrent program PAYLEGDEL (HRMS Legislative Delivery) which runs while the patch is being applied, thereby blocking the other HRMS concurrent programs from executing.
