Symptoms


On Oracle Applications 12.0 or later, find that the following is occurring:

Actual Behavior
Email notifications for Purchase Orders and Requisitions are being sent as expected, but when approvers respond from an email notification, the response is not actioned in the application for several hours if at all.

Expected Behavior
When approvers respond with email notifications that the response will be processed to the transaction quickly.

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Submit Requisition or Purchase Order for approval
2. Approver receives email notification to approve and approves via email
3. The Requisition or Purchase Order does not get actioned per the response from the approver

The issue has the following business impact:
Due to this issue, users cannot efficiently approve documents. It is serious impact as users at all levels in the company are affected every day by the issue.
