Issue
You would like to create sales order reservations in Oracle Inventory even when there is not enough available quantity for the item.
Is it possible do to this by checking "Allow Negative Balances" in Inventory Organization Parameters form (INVSDOIO)? Or some other method?
The question was raised in release 12.1.1 and in the following context:
Sales order lines are processed using 'Line Flow - Generic, Bill Only with Inventory Interface' workflow process.
Items are reservable and lot controlled.
Subinventories are reservable and do have on hand quantities.
Allow Negative Balances is currently unchecked and sales order reservations do not take place (or get created for partial quantity) when available to reserve quantity is lower than ordered quantity, which is the intended behavior.
