Symptoms

The Pre-Implementation in ECO implementation request runs for over 2 hours, when users expect it to finish in 2 minutes.

Timing
Used to take 2 minutes.
Now taking over 2 hours.

Steps

  1. Navigate to Engineering > Change Orders
  2. Enter a change order and attempt to implement.
  3. The "Pre-Implementation in ECO implementation" request runs.
  4. The program runs for 2 hours.
  5. If finished or cancelled, the "ECO Implementation" program runs correctly.

Changes

Upgraded the database: Went to 11.2.0.2 from 10.2.0.4.
Upgraded the applications: Went to R12.1.3 from R12.0.6.
