ABC Assignment Group Form Not Displaying Saved Records, Error: APP-INV-05245 : Group is already defined. (Doc ID 1341264.1)

Last updated on JULY 22, 2024

Applies to:

Oracle Inventory Management - Version 12.0.6 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.
INVADAGR.fmb

Symptoms

Users have created and saved an ABC Assignment Group in the form INVADAGR in prior versions of Inventory, (like 12.0.6, for instance). However, when users attempt to query the ABC Assignment Group in that form in a new Inventory version (like 12.1.3, for instance) no values are populated in the form. Eliminating the possibility that the ABC Assignment Group is not saved, users try to create it anew with the same name, but receive a message indicating the ABC Assignment Group already exists. This happens for both existing and new ABC Assignment Groups.

ERROR

APP-INV-05245 : Group is already defined.

STEPS

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. INV > ABC Codes > ABC Classes > Create ABC Classes
2. ABC Codes > ABC Assignment Groups >- Create ABC Group, assign ABC Classes
3. Counting > Cycle Counting > Cycle Counts > Create cycle count header and assign ABC Assignment Group to Adjustments and ABC Tab
