Prc Transaction Import Taking Longer Since The Db Upgrade To 10.2.0.5 (Doc ID 1348357.1)

Symptoms


After upgrading database to 10.2.0.5 and running  PRC: Transaction Import
the following error occurs.

ERROR
-----------------------
The following error appears in alert log:


WARNING:Could not increase the asynch I/O limit to 32 for SQL direct I/O. It is set to 0
WARNING:Could not increase the asynch I/O limit to 64 for SQL direct I/O. It is set to 0
WARNING:Could not increase the asynch I/O limit to 96 for SQL direct I/O. It is set to 0


Poor performance reported as the request used to run in 8 hours, but now does not complete, having been running for several days.

STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Log on to Project Billing
2. Request-> Run
3. Run PRC: Transaction Importing
