Last updated on FEBRUARY 23, 2019

Applies to:

Information in this document applies to any platform.

On : R12 version, Posting

When attempting to post a journal featuring 2 different BSV values, the posting fails and
the following error occurs in the logfile:

PPOS0263: The following journals have an invalid override clearing company defined:

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Setup AGIS account rules
2. Enter a journal with 2 different BSV values and enter a clearing company on journal header.
3. Try to post the journal

Same error can be received in this case:
1. Setup Intercompany to derive intercompany accounts from intracompany
  balancing rules
  2. Specify Balancing  option to use clearing BSV for many:many journals only
Default Options: Manually entered clearing BSV
  3. Create a test journal with a many to many BSV transaction.  All BSVs are assigned to different Legal Entities. So this is an Intercompany transaction.
  4. Enter Clearing company XXX in the journal header.
  5. Attempt to post the journal

This will not work for Intercompany journals, although they have set up Intercompany to "Derive Intercompany Accounts From Intracompany  Balancing Rules".  The clearing company setup  part of the Intracompany balancing rules does not apply to the Intercompany transaction.
