How To Show The Client IP Address In The Access Log When Using A Load Balancer (Doc ID 1355549.1)

If you have a hardware load balancer in place you may notice that the IP address of the user is not reflected in the access_log. Instead you find that the IP address of the load balancer or load balancer virtual server is seen in the log file.
For auditing or debug purposes you may wish to see the user IP addresses in the access_log.

This document explains how to enabled this feature. As the document requires changes on the load balancer device itself please consult your hardware vendor for advice.
