Cannot Save OPM Sample - 'Tokens in String ... Could Not Be Evaluated' Error. (Doc ID 1359083.1)

Symptoms

When you try to save an OPM Quality Management Sample you see an error like:

Tokens in the string (1=(select 1 from gmd_sample_spec_disp a,GMD_SAMPLES b,IC_ITEM_MST_VL c where a.sample_id = b.sample_id
and c.item_id = b.item_id
and c.item_no =${item.gmdqsmpl.item_no.value}
and b.lot_no =$ {item.gmdqsmpl.inv_lot_no.vaule}
and a.disposition in ('4A'))) could not be evaluated. Please check the syntax.
