Cannot Find or Enter any Absences (Doc ID 1360149.1)

Symptoms

On : 12.1.2 version, Absence recording, maintenance

When attempting to view absences in Employee Self Service, none are displayed.
It is as if there were no absences entered for the employee.
When entering a new absence, the following error occurs.

Leave duration of 2 days is greater than available leave accrued balance as on leave start date


STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Employee Self Service -> Leave Management -> Leave Detail
2. Entitlement Balances tab shows no values (no error either)
3. Absence Summary tab shows 1 absence (pending approval) for 8 days
4. Press 'Create Absence' and enter an absence, press Next and get error
'Leave duration of 2 days is greater than available leave accrued balance as on leave start date'
