Symptoms
Serial Numbers created for nonexistent inventory. During a PO receipt, if the users try to change the quantity after the a range of serial numbers are generated, then after the PO receipt is completed, records are getting created with current_status = 6 . These serial numbers are getting stored across organization level with current status 6,because of which those serials can't be used in different organization.
Expect only the correct number of serial generated corresponding to the received quantity.
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Item is setup with serial control at receipt
2. Perform a PO Receipt for a qty =10
3. Enter the From SN = GK301 and tab out. The TO SN got populated automatically with GK310
4. Then customer change the TO SN to GK302
5. Then change quantity = 2 and press enter
6. Click on Done button .
7. Then click the final done button to completed receipt.
Notice that the after the receipt GK301 and GK302 serials have current_status = 3. All the serials GK303 to GK310 has current_status = 6
