Symptoms

Problem Statement:

When attempting to change the latest start date of a new hire the following error occurs:

APP-PAY-07860: Costing records exist between the old and new dates



Step to Reproduce:

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. Profile option "HR: Allow change Hire beyond Payroll actions" set at the site level with a value 'Yes'.
  2. AMEND_HIRE_WITH_PAYACT legislation rule (US) is set with the value Y.
  3. US Super HRMS Manager Responsibility
  4. People form
  5. Query the employee
  6. Change the latest start date
  7. Received the error
