Primary Quantity is not Recalculated when Over-typing Transaction Quantity Even Though UOM of Item Primary Quantity is the Same

Found out several transactions where primary quantity is different by transaction quantity, even if transaction unit of measure is the same as item primary quantity.


Primary quantity and transaction quantity should be the same.


The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. Perform a subinventory transfer
    (but the same occurs also for other kind of transactions, like Miscellaneous Receipts or Inter-organization Transfer)
  2. Insert Item number
  3. Insert from subinventory
  4. Insert from locator
  5. Insert to subinventory
  6. Insert to locator
  7. Insert lot number (in line canvas)
  8. Insert a quantity > press TAB button > return to quantity field and change the quantity > check with examine primary quantity field and you'll find that it is the former value > save and check in material transaction table the difference between the two quantity fields
