R12: Grants Accounting R12 Award Budget Baseline Fails When There are Multiple Awards Funding a Project (Doc ID 1365479.1)

Last updated on JANUARY 06, 2017

Applies to:

Oracle Grants Accounting - Version 12.0.4 to 12.1.3 [Release 12.0 to 12.1]
Information in this document applies to any platform.
GMS_SUMMARIZE_BUDGETS.

Symptoms

Awards that have multiple awards funding a project are not rebaselining and the budget baseline process ends with an ERROR in the summarize budget process.

Log Errors can be either:
PA_NO_BUDGET_VERSION_AMG
or
GMS_SUMMARIZE_BUDGETS.SUMMARIZE_BASELINED_VERSION - In FND_API.G_EXC_ERROR exception
and
GMS_BUDGET_PUB.SUBMIT_BASELINE_BUDGET - Exception :-20001-ORA-20001

Reviewing the gms_budget_versions and pa_budget_versions for the award/project combination, there are multiple gms_budget_versions (as the award portion of the process completes) however, the current_flag on the budget will be on an earlier version. The pa_budget_versions table will have fewer entries and will not have a working budget.
The workaround:

doesn't solve the issue.
