R12: Secondary Ledger Journals Are Not Following the Reversal Method of Primary When Reversal Method is Manually Selected (Doc ID 1365584.1)

Last updated on MARCH 09, 2019

Applies to:

Oracle General Ledger - Version 12.0.0 to 12.1.3 [Release 12.0 to 12.1]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

If Primary Ledger (PL) Journal was reversed with reversal Method "Change Sign", both reporting (RL) & secondary (SL) Ledgers should follow the same reversal method as the Primary. But SL always defaults to "Switch Dr/Cr" irrespective of actual reversal method at Primary.

This occurs when the user manually selects "Change sign" Reversal method on the Journals form, which is different from the default method.  The Primary Ledger and Reporting Ledger journals are reversed with Change Sign as expected, but not the Secondary Ledger journal.

Autoreversal Criteria Sets are assigned to Primary and Secondary.
