Freight Forwarding Screen Copy Throws Error on Search

When using a copy of the freight forwarding screen set with an added field (Fixed list and Constraining checked) and try to search using this new field, the following error occurs.

'options' is null or not an object

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1) Go to Configuration and Administration -> User Configuration -> Screenset Manager
2) Search for screenset id contains FREIGHT
3) Select Freight Forwarding screenset in search results and click 'copy screen set' button
4) Name the screenset e.g. freight_forwarding_test
5) Go to the search tab and click the add field button
6) Choose field name = refnum value (p)
7) Choose label id e.g. commodity
8) Click save
9) Choose a refnum qual id e.g. commodity
10) Click ok
11) Select the new field on the screenset and choose edit
12) Select the constraining and fixed drop list checkboxes
13) Type in a dummy display and value text e.g. fore and choose add option
14) Click save
15) Click finished on the screenset (note the screenset name on the confirmation screen e.g. sdd.freight_forwarding_test)
16) On the menu, choose brokerage and forwarding -> booking
17) Right-click on the Freight Forwarding menu item and select open in new tab
18) Edit the url to change to the new screenset name at the end, e.g. change 'freight_forwarding' to 'sdd.freight_forwarding_test' (include domain name)
19) In the opened screen, choose an item from the created fixed list e.g. fore
20) Click search
