Performing wild card searches in Install Base simple search (using '%') results in an error like:
Please fill in search criteria values in at least one of the following fields: Item Instance, Serial Number, Item, Owner Party Name, Owner Account Number, Sales Order Number, Purchase Order Number, Contract Number, Agreement Name, System, Asset Number. Note that the search criteria values should not begin with a "%" or "_" for at least one of the listed fields.
Similarly, attempting to perform an Advanced Search using, for example the 'Contains' operator alone gives another version of the error, such as:
Please fill in search criteria values in at least one of the following fields: Item Instance, Item, Owner Party Name, Owner Account Number, Currently At Party Site Number, Item Description, Serial Number, System, Instance Name, Owner Employee Name, Owner Employee Number, Owner Vendor Name, Associated Hz Party Name, Associated Employee Name, Associated Employee Number, Associated Vendor Name, Associated Group Name, Associated Team Name, Party Account Number, Currently At HZ Location, Currently At Party Site Address, Currently At Internal Site Address, Currently At Sub-Inventory Location, Currently At Inventory Locator Location, Currently At In-Transit Order Number, Currently At In-Transit Line Number, Currently At Project Name, Currently At Project Number, Currently At Task Location, Currently At WIP Location, Currently At Vendor Site Location, Installed At Vendor Site, Installed At HZ Location, Installed At Party Site, Installed At Party Site Number, Contact Employee Name, Contact Employee Number, Contact Party Name, Contact Vendor Name, Sales Order Number, Purchase Order Number, Agreement Name, Contract Number, External Reference, Asset Number. Note that the search criteria condition should not be "contains", "ends with" or "is not" for at least one of the listed fields.
