Error: You Cannot Change This Timecard Entry Because the Corresponding Purchase Order Is Invalid. (Doc ID 1369305.1)

Symptoms

When attempting to create timecard, the following error occurs.

ERROR
-----------------------
Error: You cannot change this timecard entry because the corresponding purchase order is invalid. Contact your supervisor for assistance.



The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Login with Purchasing Responsibility
2. Create and approve Purchase Orders (POs) XX1 and XX2 for a Rate Based Temp Labor line
3. Switch responsibility to Human Resources
4. Assign the PO to a Contingent worker
5. Login as the Contingent worker to OTL Responsibility.
6. Choose the menu option to Create Timecard
7. Select an unused Period and then enter:
 PO = XX1
 Line = 1
 Type = Standard Rate
 Mon to Thu = 1 (hour)
8. Click Save and then continue
9. Submit the timecard
10. Login as approver to application and approve the timecard from the worklist
11. Go back to Purchasing Responsibility
12. From the PO Summary screen close the PO XX1
13. Login as Continget worker and modify the approved timecard adding a new PO as follows:
14. Select OTL Responsibility
15. Choose the menu option to Recent Timecard
16. Select the same Period to update and then add:
 PO = XX2
 Line = 1
 Type = Standard Rate
 Fri = 1 (hour)
17. Click Save then Continue
18. Error: YOU CANNOT CHANGE THIS TIMECARD ENTRY BECAUSE THE CORRESPONDING AWARD IS INVALID. CONTACT YOUR SUPERVISOR FOR ASSISTANCE.

Note (Workaround):  Reopen PO XX1 and then repeat steps 13-18,  the timecard can be submitted successfully.
