System Does Not Warn When Deleting The Attribute Group Association In An ICC (Doc ID 1371886.1)

Last updated on OCTOBER 24, 2016

Applies to:

Oracle Product Hub - Version 12.1.1 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

In Oracle Product Hub, users can associate user defined attribute groups to an Item Catalog Category (ICC), and assign values to these attributes for items belonging to that ICC or its children.
When users delete the association between the attribute group and the ICC, the attribute values are not deleted for the items.

There is no warning from the system when users do this.

This results in junk data (orphan records) in EGO_MTL_SY_ITEMS_EXT_B/TL tables which are not related to any ICC - Attribute Group association.
