Delivery Of OPM Item Fails With: 'RVCTP encountered an internal error' And 'WMSINB-23184'

Symptoms

The delivery of an OPM item through the Receiving Transactions form fails with:

RVCTP encountered an internal error.
RVTBM-008: Subroutine rvtbm_immediate_mngr() returned error
RVTBM-120: Subroutine rvtptcontrol() returned error


After enabling debugging the INV debug logfile shows that the validation fails in package INVRCVVB.pls with error WMSINB-23184:

Symptoms:

- The debug shows 'Lot Status Enabled' = 'Y' although the Inventory Master Item details do not
   show that the item is lot controlled (lot_control_code = 1).
   However, in OPM the item is lot controlled (see table/column ic_item_mst.lot_ctl).
-  Although the error message is similar to the error message described in <Note: 1268449.1> and
   there are a lot of orphan records in mtl_transaction_lots_temp,
   running the generic datafix to remove the orphan records does not solve the issue.
