Remove Checkbox Not Working in Party Relationships Tab in Install Base (Doc ID 1372958.1)

If user attempts to end-date a given party under Party Relationships tab in Install Base by filling the End Date and also ticking the left handed check box the application displays "Parties updated successfully" message, but the update is not actually reflected, as if the users actions are ignored. Why?
