BI Publisher: Navigation in catalog folders is slow after enabling catalog file system security

Symptoms
On BI Publisher 11g (11.1.1.5.0) and after implementing File System Security for Catalog Folders as per Oracle Documentation in:
Oracle Fusion Middleware Administrator's Guide for Oracle Business Intelligence Publisher
And creating large number of folders and data models under the catalog and while navigating between folders it is taking long time trying to open a folder (~1.5 min.).
The more number of objects inside a folder is, the more it is to open that folder.
Before enabling Security, the navigation was taking (~2 seconds) or less.
