Self-Service > Benefits Error "Current or future payroll periods are closed..." (Doc ID 1373543.1)

Symptoms

When attempting to click the Next button on the Dependent and Beneficiaries page in Self-Service > Benefits, the following error occurs:

"Current or future payroll periods are closed You cannot create or modify any element entries unless the period is open for input or the element cannot be processed"


Steps to Reproduce:
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. Log into Employee Self Service as an employee whose open enrollment period is valid for the new period.
  2. Go to Dependent and Beneficiaries page and click Next.
