CAN NOT END DATE A POSITION (Doc ID 137384.1)

Symptoms

 Trying to end date positions. Navigate to position Form, set effective date, delete the position, only given the option to purge, not to select End Date. Cannot End date the position via the End Date field. Navigation: WorkStructures -> Position -> Description ->Query on an entered position -> Set the effective Date to be the end date -> Delete -> a decision box comes up and click on yes -> An option box comes up and you have to Purge the record you can't delete it.
