Shipment Stop Not Honoring The RefNum Update Allows Setting Via Integration. (Doc ID 1375480.1)

Last updated on JULY 09, 2014

Applies to:

Oracle Transportation Management - Version: 6.2.0 to 6.2.4 - Release: 6.2 to 6.2
Information in this document applies to any platform.

A RefNum is created on the shipment stop level with the One,Update feature. So this refnum value is supposed to be updated when you have the same refnum qualifier coming in via integration. But instead of updating the existing one, again the same refnum qualifier is getting added with the new value.

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

1. Create a Shipment and assign a Reference Number to a shipment stop where the Reference Number Qualifier used is designated as Update Allows=One, Update {UPDATE_OK}

2. Upload an XML to update the Shipment Stop including the same Reference Number Qualifier as used above, but with a new Reference Number Value.

Expected that the new value replace the old value and just keep a single entry, but what happens is that OTM inserts a new entry with the new value along the old one.
