Cannot Progress WIP Batch if Validity Rule is Obsolete or End Dated (Doc ID 1377134.1)

If you Obsolete a validity rule on which a batch was based you can no longer Complete the batch, nor can you release or complete steps in the batch. You could do this in 11i.

Likewise, if you expire the validity rule, you cannot Complete the batch or release or complete steps.

With Obsoleted/Archived validity rule:

User-Defined Exception in Package GME_COMPLETE_BATCH_PVT Procedure validate_batch_for_complete

With expired validity rule:

The actual start date is not within the validity rule dates.

1. Create and release a batch
2. Set the validity rule status to Obsolete
3. Try to Complete the batch
