R12: Customer Classification Hierarchy are rendered differently in OCO when delimiter is not '/' (Doc ID 1377345.1)

Last updated on MAY 24, 2019

Oracle Customers Online - Version 12.1.3 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

When a Classification Code is created which has a delimiter of '/', the classifications are rendered with proper hierarchy in OCO administration form. The same works good in OCO Customers page.

Now, modify the same Classification and change the delimiter to something else like '|'. Now, the hierarchy looks good in OCO Administrators page, but the same when queried in the Customers Classification page, shows a different hierarchical structure.

The hierarchical structure works fine in OCO Customers page only if the delimiter used is '/' and any other delimiter causes the hierarchy to break in the OCO Customers page, but it works fine in OCO Administrators page.

Expect to see the proper hierarchical structure in OCO as well as OCO administrators page.

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Create a classification code with delimiter as '!' or anything else apart from '/'
2. Check in OCO Customers page.
3. The hierarchy is jumbled.
