Sales Order Backordering When Warehouse Specified On Release Sales Orders For Picking Form With Quantity Available

When pick releasing with a value entered in the Warehouse field on the Release Sales Orders for Picking form, the sales order gets backordered even though there is sufficient quantity available to fulfill the picking process. However, if pick release the same order again without entering a value for the Warehouse field, the sales order gets picked successfully. Upon comparison of the pick release log file where pick release was done with and without a value in the Warehouse field, the following information was found in the log file with Warehouse entered.

Customer had verified that the warehouse is a valid one.
Customer expects the pick release program to pick the sales order successfully even when a warehouse is entered on the Warehouse field on the Release Sales Orders for Picking form.
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Enter a new sales order and book it.
2. Perform pick release with the following parameters entered.
Order Number - Specify order
Auto Allocate - Yes
Auto Pick Confirm - Yes
Autocreate Deliveries - Yes
Warehouse - 700
3. Submit the pick release program and find that the sales orders get backordered.
