Purpose
This document details which database patches in addition to the Release Update (RU) are required for Oracle E-Business Suite Release 12 and Release 11i on Oracle engineered systems, on either on-premise Oracle Exadata Database Machines or Oracle SuperClusters.
It is updated quarterly. The most current version can be obtained in My Oracle Support Knowledge <Document 1392527.1>. Modifications are listed in the change log. You should check for updates regularly, and in particular before performing any maintenance operations.
This should be used in addition to <Document 888828.1> for Exadata Database Machines or <Document 2056975.1> for SuperClusters, and, if you are upgrading the database, in conjunction with the appropriate Oracle E-Business Suite Interoperability note:
E-Business Suite R12.2:
<Document 2552181.1> - Interoperability Notes: Oracle E-Business Suite Release 12 (12.2) with Oracle Database 19c
<Document 1926201.1> - Interoperability Notes: Oracle E-Business Suite Release 12.2 with Oracle Database 12c Release 1 (12.1.0)
<Document 1623879.1> - Interoperability Notes: Oracle E-Business Suite Release 12.2 with Oracle Database 11g Release 2 (11.2.0)
E-Business Suite R12.0-12.1:
<Document 2580629.1> - Interoperability Notes: Oracle E-Business Suite Release 12.1 with Oracle Database 19c
<Document 1524398.1> - Interoperability Notes: Oracle E-Business Suite Release 12.0 or 12.1 with Oracle Database 12c Release 1 (12.1.0)
<Document 1058763.1> - Interoperability Notes: Oracle E-Business Suite Release 12.0 or 12.1 with Oracle Database 11g Release 2 (11.2.0)
E-Business Suite R11i:
<Document 1524399.1> - Interoperability Notes: Oracle E-Business Suite 11i with Oracle Database 12c Release 1
<Document 881505.1> - Interoperability Notes: Oracle EBS 11i with Oracle Database 11gR2 (11.2.0)
For database patches for Oracle E-Business Suite Release 12.2 installed on Oracle Engineered Systems (Exadata and SuperCluster), the information in this document should be referenced instead of <Document 1594274.1> - Oracle E-Business Suite Release 12.2: Consolidated List of Oracle Database Patches and Bug Fixes. Continue to use <Document 1594274.1> for patches required for the middle tier technology stack.
For Oracle Database 19.0.0.0.0, additional bugfixes are listed in <Document 555.1>, Oracle Database 19c Important Recommended One-off Patches. You should review these in the context of the quarterly Release Updates (RUs) recommended in this <Document 1392527.1>. Do not apply an RU from <Document 555.1> unless it is recommended in this document, and do not apply either Release Update Revisions (RURs) or Monthly Recommended Patches (MRPs). For any bugfixes listed in <Document 555.1> that you decide to apply but that are reported as conflicting with the requirements in this document, contact Oracle Support.
Scope
The information in this document applies only to Oracle E-Business Suite database implementations on on-premise Oracle Engineered Systems - Oracle Exadata Database Machines and Oracle SuperClusters.
Database patch release updates (RUs) are published quarterly. They contain the latest critical security, functional, and performance database fixes. Customers are encouraged to move to the latest database RU as soon as possible - ideally within the quarter they are released.
The E-Business Suite (EBS) development team tests the supported versions of EBS against the latest database RU and one prior, for each database version certified by EBS, identifying the additional database patches required by each version of EBS.
This document provides the list of database patches required and tested by EBS development for each supported version of EBS running on the latest database RU and one prior, for each supported database version, when that testing is complete.
The supported versions and lists of patches change at least quarterly, so it is important to review the current version of this document immediately prior to any maintenance of an E-Business Suite database on an engineered system.
All database bundle patches are cumulative. See <Document 888828.1> (Exadata) or <Document 2056975.1> (SuperCluster) for further details.
