How To Verify Setup of the Line Transaction Flexfield in AR so Service Contracts will Invoice Properly (Doc ID 139287.1)

Last updated on JUNE 21, 2023

Applies to:

Oracle Service Contracts - Version 11.5.9 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

Transaction flexfields are descriptive flexfields that AutoInvoice uses to uniquely identify transaction lines. In Service Contracts there are ten transaction flexfield segments defined. These identify values that are passed to AR by the Service Contracts Main Billing program.

The definition of these flexfields is seeded for you and these should look very similar to what is identified below. This list of transaction flexfields should not be added to nor should any of them be removed or AutoInvoice will likely fail.

In Service Contracts versions 11.5.8 there were only eight transaction flexfield segments, and in earlier versions there may have been fewer. Please consult the appropriate documentation for the version you are using should you be on an earlier version.
