(Doc ID 1393575.1)
Last updated on FEBRUARY 22, 2021
Applies to:Oracle Performance Management - Version 12.1 HRMS RUP10 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.
This note provides information about the new Succession Planning model available in Oracle Succession Planning.
The new Succession Planning model is available through the patch 13354420 - Enhanced Succession Planning for R12.1.3 and R12.1 HRMSRUP4. Note: Before you apply this patch, you must apply the Oracle SSHR patch 13940768:R12.PER.B.
Customers on Oracle E-Business Suite R12.1.3 and R12.1 HRMS RUP4 can apply this patch to use the new Succession Planning model.
System Implications of Using the New Succession Planning Model
Customers who apply the new Succession Planning model patch cannot create succession plans when they compare talent profiles of employees. The Succession Planning tab that is available to managers when they compare profiles is hidden as the Talent Profile function is not integrated with the new Succession Planning model. If required, you can enable the Succession Planning tab by setting the SuccPlanNew parameter to N for the HR_TALENTPROFILE_SS and HR_TALENT_HOME_FUNC_MGR functions. However, when the Succession Planning tab is enabled, the Succession Plans feature that is available from this tab is the R12.1.1 version and not the new Succession Planning model.
Information in this note is applicable to customers on the following release levels only:
- Oracle Succession Planning, Oracle E-Business Suite Release 12.1.3
- Oracle Succession Planning, Release 12.1 HRMS RUP4
- Functional consultants
- Support teams
