Last updated on JUNE 01, 2016

Applies to:

Oracle Inventory Management - Version 11.5.10.2 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.
Form:RCVTXECO.FMB - Enter Corrections
Executable:RVCTP - Receiving Transaction Processor

Symptoms

Actual Behavior
Choosing add to receipt,  ROI allowed to import a receipt transaction on a closed inventory accounting period (it's parent receipt transaction date is in an opened inventory accounting period).

Now it is not possible to correct / return that transaction because when trying to correct it, the following error occurs

APP-PO-14878 Child transaction date pre-dates parent transaction date
Cause: You tried to enter a child transaction date that is earlier than the
corresponding parent transaction date.

Expected Behavior
Rcv transaction interface has to prevent an import in a closed inventory accounting period even if add to receipt option is used.

Steps
Choosing add to receipt, do a receipt transaction in a closed inventory accounting period :

. Create record in RTI rcv_transaction interface with TRANSACTION_DATE 01/18/2012 15:10:30 on closed period

INTERFACE_TRANSACTION_ID 324621

VALIDATION_FLAG

Note: populating a value in SHIPMENT_HEADER_ID is similar to adding to receipt via ROI

. RVCTP correctly processes the record on closed period because VALIDATION_FLAG is Null
