Unable To Change A Parent Lot Number After A Lot Is Created (Doc ID 1398153.1)

Last updated on FEBRUARY 05, 2019

Applies to:

Oracle Process Manufacturing Process Execution - Version 12.1.3 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

On Release 12.1.3:

When transacting against a product (WIP Completion) on the Batch Material Details form,  create a lot number and associate a parent lot number with it (via Lot / Serial form). Creating only one lot per WIP Completion transaction.

If the Parent Lot was entered erroneously and needs to be corrected, there is no method to change the parent lot number that was entered.

Even if user performs a WIP Completion Return, the system does not remove the previously created lot (with the parent associated with it). When performing the WIP Completion Transaction again (with the correct parent item this time) the system will not allow specifying a new parent, since one already exists that is associated with the item code and original lot number.
